Viva la tomboy!!
So I have a few confessions for y'all this Wednesday.
Okay my first confession which may or may not be a shocker, is that I've always been somewhat of a tomboy most likely due to the fact that I grew up with the boys. I was brainwashed that girls can and will be toyed with by a boy they like so I needed to beat them to their own game and if I liked a boy, the best way to show him was to just be a jerk. Also, never let my brothers/ cousins find out about him for the sake of his life. Another "important lesson" I learned from their manner was that my feelings should never be expressed (especially if they're sentimental) because that would be considered whining or just inappropriate.
But besides all of this information my brain was soaking up like a sponge in water, I've always enjoyed doing things boys like to do. I played outside allllllllll day, rode around on Rollerblades or bikes, played out war scenes, and I was obsessed with walkie talkies and Hot Wheels & their awesome tracks. Even in high school, I would watch ESPN for an hour without realizing that none of my brothers or their friends were even around, so I could've actually changed the channel if I wanted to, but I didn't. I remember I would always steal my brother's shirts and wear them cause they were way more comfortable than the tight and figure flattering clothes girls were supposed to wear. Then I would get a Charley horse when they couldn't find their shirt the next day or spotted me in school walking around in it. It didn't make sense to me to get dressed super cute for school just so I could sit all day uncomfortably instead of in a loose & cozy T-shirt, so I chose to be comfy at the expense of my brothers not having many clean shirts and my legs being bruised up for a day or two.
Even though a little bit of that tomboy still lives inside me, I still have my ultra girly moments like squealing over a insanely cute pair of heels that I tell myself I MUST have or hoard numerous amounts of eyeshadow and nail polishes or just being a shopaholic. But today I felt the tomboy in me make an extreme comeback, read on...

| Yeah, this was pretty much me back in the day. |
Well, this morning I had a big breakfast so of course by the time lunch was upon me I was still not hungry (don't worry, that's not my other confession). In times like this I always head to the nearest shopping plaza to get out of the office and "window shop" to get an idea of what I want to purchase when I do have money to splurge (I quoted window shop because sometimes I reason with myself that a pair of pants or shoes are truly more important than eating lunch for a week. I know, I have a problem; tell me something I don't know).
I digress as usual; Okay so now that summer is upon us in this lovely city of Phoenix, I have been trying to find non-work attire that covers pretty much just the basics (boobs & butt) because when it's 106 degrees outside like today, I could walk around in a bikini (if I was comfortable enough to) and still feel like I have too much clothing on. -What's with all the parenthesis in my sentences? I don't know, I have a lot of side notes for you. You're welcome-
So today I did something I haven't done since my high school days... I shopped for MYSELF in the young men's section (there it is finally, 2nd confession)!! It was honestly a little surprising at how much neon pink, purple and orange was on the racks, but I guess those are just fun summer colors that anyone can wear. Also, it was kind of funny going into the fitting room at the same time as some teenage boy with almost the same exact shirt he was trying on. But yes, I did get a couple of tank tops to sport around this summer that are still figure flattering (just not holding onto my torso for dear life, which will make me even more hot and cranky) that I can throw a cute cami under to have that spiffy surfer girl look.
This is definitely one reason I'm glad I am a girl, 'cause I don't know how many straight men can walk into the Junior's or Women's sections in a store and find something that will look good on them... well, besides skinny jeans lol.

Ah Sheeyit! This my JAM!
Throwbacks!
Yesterday I randomly thought of the singer Jewel then had a quick high school flashback of songs that reminded me of her that I haven't heard in YEARS! Then I went home on my lunch break today and the movie Can't Hardly Wait was on that reminded me even more of my high school days, and I knew it was fate that I had to listen to some old jams.
So thanks to this darling innovation of finding historic information through technology we call GOOGLE, I found a few that might take you back and put a smile on your face (especially if you were a 15 year old girl in 2001).
Soul Decision - Faded (This was my JAYUMMM!)
After I started listening to this song I was laughing so hard thinking about how cheesy it is and how much I loved it!
Lumidee - Never Leave You
Samantha Mumba - Gotta Tell You (and her other famous songs that I was totally obsessed with!)
The Calling - Adrienne
Dream - He Loves You Not
Puddle of Mudd - Control (which I often called Muddle of Pudd after drinking my Smirnoff Ice)
oh yeah, I was hardcore!
Adema - Close Friends
Sugar Ray - Answer the Phone
Greed - Godsmack

I got served
So apparently I'm not exactly waitressing material... Well at least not for an Asian restaurant with nagging owners and almost all senior citizen clientele. I was about to break an old man hip this weekend.
Friday night after my shift all I could think about is how I didn't want to go in on Saturday afternoon for my next shift, and then realized I was already unhappy with this second job after a week. My second job should be something fun that I enjoy and look forward to go to, not one that I'm dreading. I know not all work is fun, but it should be enjoyable. Especially after hearing another server tell me how miserable he was working there and he hated it, I decided I wouldn't be that way for a few reasons:
1. A server who is not happy with their job, should NOT serve. Bad overall experience for the customers = bad tip or no tip and that's just a waste of everyone's time.
2. I'm expecting a lot of changes for my full time job within the next couple of months and if all goes smoothly with that, I won't need a second job at all.
3. Now I have a whole 9 days of serving experience and I'm off to the next sports bar with my low cut t-shirt on to show off all of my acquired skills.
Okay, that last one is a joke... Unless my full time job screws me over and I have no choice but to go work in a sports bar for some extra cash which kind of sounds fun, but I don't know. What I do know is that I have a whole new level of respect for servers (not that I've ever been a jerk to people who serve), and I tip my hat to you all!

Please Allow Myself,
To introduce... Myself
Hey there, remember me? I know it's been quite sometime since I've actually posted some thoughts, words and pictures of my own on here, but I'm not sorry... you bitches ain't nobody!!!!
Totes Kidding!!! You guys (whoever you are, as in most likely ONE person) are awesome and I am very sorry because I know you can't live another day without my wise words to guide your life.... right down the drain.
Anyways, this year has already slapped me sideways and tossed me around like a one dollar hooker in Vegas, but I'm enjoying it. Guess I finally know what I want to do with my life now... So since my last sincere post was about New Years resolutions and getting this mess of a life together, I figured I'd update y'all on just a few of my goals and achievements:

Anyways, this year has already slapped me sideways and tossed me around like a one dollar hooker in Vegas, but I'm enjoying it. Guess I finally know what I want to do with my life now... So since my last sincere post was about New Years resolutions and getting this mess of a life together, I figured I'd update y'all on just a few of my goals and achievements:
- Go to church EVERY Sunday - Not proud of myself on this one, it's been 4 or 5 weeks since my last church appearance.
- Exercise at LEAST 4 times a week and eat healthy - another disappointment; this week I'm back on track after my birthday month celebration (don't judge, there's no reason you should celebrate your birthday for ONE day) and have taken it upon myself to deactivate my "social internet life" that way I can focus on my goal and not be distracted by all the fun everyone else will be having, while I'm just eating salads & sweating like a pig... I want to cry thinking about it, but I can cry when I'm a skinny bitch.
- Get my financial stabilities together - This is one goal that I have accomplished and have been doing pretty good with. I even got myself a part time waitressing job that I start this weekend (raising the roof y'all) so I can finally have a shithole apartment to call my own. Fingers crossed that I don't get fired on day one!
- Limit my alcohol intake to special occasions - Like most of my other goals, I only lasted a good month and a half on this one. I have been drinking almost every weekend and family event since February and that's not good folks! So since I'm going to be in my own little world of full time work, exercise, part time work and sleep for the next couple months I'm not going to have time for any alcohol intake and that is fabulous. Oh yeah, and I didn't puke on my bday celebration night! Holler!
- Read more books - Honestly, the last book I read was the booklet attached to the liquor bottle I was drinking out of... the shame
- No Douchebags - Well, this one I've aced because I've managed to block out any and all men that approach me. I should probably start responding to them soon before I am told "I heard you were a lesbian now" again... yes AGAIN, I was told that by an old friend I ran into about a year ago. I should've maneaten his ass to let him know that I'm strictly dickly!
So, now you know my year has been fairly decent & eventful and is only getting better from here!! Blink 182 wasn't messin' around with that song Dammit lol
Hope you guys have done better in the New Year Resolution department than I have!!

Oh Baby I'm A Rock Star!
So last night I went with my sister, brother, and their children to eat at Burger King so the kids could play in the questionably sanitary play pen. After I ordered my food, this country song popped in my head & I was jammin' out to it in my mind when the cashier hands over my cup and I go to fill it with iced tea. I then walked over to the condiments station and I'm focusing on shakin' my sugar packet to the beat of the song when out of my peripheral vision I see my niece walk up next to me to get a straw. So I start singing out loud, and for the last few words of the song I turn to her to sing straight to her face only to realize she's most definitely not my niece, but the older lady who was in line behind me and about the same height as my niece...
After about 2 minutes of laughing uncontrollably, I immediately apologized and she assured me it was no problem but American Idol better watch out for me.
I knew I had the potential!!!!!!!

Under The Influence
A while ago I had dinner with an Aunt & Uncle of mine and my Uncle said something to me that has been hitting me hard lately and making me reflect upon myself and the life I'm living. He told me that I have a very special gift... the gift of Influence. He said that he sees me as a very influential person because my personality draws people to me. He also pointed out that I have a choice to make, the choice of what kind of influence I am going to be.
The reason this has been hitting me so hard lately is because I've realized who I have this influence over, my Family. And yeah, I guess I do have an influence over the family that is my age or older, but I feel like my target audience is my younger family, especially one younger lad in particular... my 13 year old brother Noah. Noah is the little brat that stole my sunshine and took my throne as the baby of the family, but we have a 12 year age difference which makes his childhood way different than the rest of mine & my siblings. He's now at the age where he takes everything in around him and is going to pretty much shape his attitude and outlook on life. Before my Dad passed away, he gathered my siblings and myself and told us we all had one common responsibility now: Noah. That no matter what we were all responsible for his well being. And now that Noah isn't such a baby anymore, I feel that I need to start getting my shit together so I can be a good example for him since we are the closest in age and he looks up to me.
This new year of 2012 I am challenging myself with many goals that I intend to accomplish. Goals that I've thought about but never even tried to accomplish, goals that I've slightly tried to achieve, and new goals that I've never had the guts to push myself to mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. My life is going to take a big turn soon. All I can pray for is that I have enough strength to keep pushing and that I continue to have my friends & family support me and keep me focused. The motivation to better myself and my family, that pushes all of my individual goals for this new year is very clear to me now:
Lead By Example
Cheers to 2012 friends :)

Tis The Season
To GIVE.
Yesterday I finally took a box of clothes & shoes that have been in my trunk for the last month or so to the Goodwill.
After Thanksgiving I realized how much I am thankful for and then thought about all the other people in this world, country and my very own STATE who don't even have half of the things I do. Normally I can be as selfish as any other single person would be, my time is all for me going out and having fun. But since it's the holidays I figured this is the perfect excuse to switch it up, so I decided I'm going to be giving a lot more for others in need for the remainder of this month wether it's money or time or maybe someone who just needs someone to hangout with.
Bring on your needs bitches!!!!!!

Don't You Just Hate It When
You come across someone's Facebook profile and think to yourself, "Man we'd be awesome friends". But you can't just randomly request them, even if we have 61 mutual high school friends. That would be borderline creepy as if stalking them on Facebook wasn't creepy enough!! ugh.

I just realized
I've been at work for only one hour and I'm being a total judgmental bitch... But a funny one.
I need to remind myself of what I tell my nieces & nephews:

If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Deal or No Deal?
I came across this Glamour article today about the hanging testicles men like to put on the back of their trucks and all I have to say is: Why, men? Just... Why? Anyways, the article also mentions a "No Fat Chicks" sticker, which I would be completely fine with if there was a "No Small Dicks" sticker for women's cars. But even if there was one, we wouldn't use it. Maybe stick it to the front of our bedroom doors, but we most certainly wouldn't have the audacity to place one on our cars. Why? Because we are women and we have class and we'd like to date someone, someday.
This started making me think about my deal breakers for guys who I wouldn't date, and I know what you're all thinking... YES I have standards! Ugh... Read on for some I could think of.
If he buys you a Toyota Corolla with a big red bow on it. I mean...
This started making me think about my deal breakers for guys who I wouldn't date, and I know what you're all thinking... YES I have standards! Ugh... Read on for some I could think of.
- The man cruising down the streets, windows down while it's 100+ degrees out, stereo blasting, wearing the "I Love Haters" hat. Ok, really any man who wears anything that says that. Even a key chain with this will disqualify him.
- The man who constantly talks about himself and all of his accomplishments or life struggles he's overcome. Get a diary or a dog.
- The man who is at the strip club every.single.week. Perverted much!
- The man who is a Negative Ned and extremely bitter towards all women. Sounds like someone's just been dumped!
- The man who likes to brag about all the money he spends "at da club, poppin' bottles of henny". Way to be humble and attract gold diggers.
- The man who is a jerk to his own friends... a relationship between the two of you isn't looking very promising.
- Mama's boys who are proud of being Mama's boys.
- The man who still lives with his ex girlfriend.
- The man driving around with either the No Fat Chicks sticker or the No Small Dicks sticker.
If he buys you a Toyota Corolla with a big red bow on it. I mean...
WHO buys someone a TOYOTA COROLLA!?
ESPECIALLY with a big red bow on it like it's a Mercedes Benz or something?
Now THAT, is an acceptable gift that says 'I would like to date you'.
(Yes, my friend is a spoiled little Arabic Princess in case you were wondering.)
I'm sure there are some more deal breakers I just can't think of right now, so if you have any good ones, feel free to share :)
Random thought
I've always heard women say that their feet grew after each kid...
I don't think I ever want kids now, I have too many cute shoes I've invested in this year!!

Dear Extremely Sexy Shirtless Man
Dear Extremely Sexy Shirtless Man Running Down The Street,
Thank you.
Sincerely,
All Women in Northern Glendale
I've always thought this was like a "vanity girl thing" to do, until this last week. Of course most females are not likely to exercise in public shirtless (unless intoxicated), the vain ones just wear their sports bra & a pair of tiny shorts in the gym so everyone knows they have less than 12% body fat without them having to say it out loud. Well during this last week on my way to and from work, I've seen two different men on two different main streets running shirtless with only black shorts on. Please note that I am only thanking one of these men because he happened to be wearing shorts that I deemed as an appropriate length and not a pair of Speedos like the first guy I saw. I probably would've continued to gawk at him too if it wasn't for his super tight Daisy Dukes which instantly made me think that no straight man would dare to run down such a busy street like that... or would he??? Guys, you tell me. Well upon seeing the second running man on my way home from work, I instantly turned into a New York construction worker thinking & saying all kinds of obscenities to myself in my car... With my windows up of course, I am a lady!
My instinctive animal behavior made me think of how the "vain run down the street in skimpy clothing" isn't something only women like to do; Men are into this too cause I witnessed it twice in one work week. Normally when I see women doing this, my initial thought is 'Show off!!' (only cause I'm totally jealous of her rockin' body), but then when I seen the guys doing it I thought 'Hellllllloooo!". When men see a shirtless guy who's in good shape running down the street, do they think the same way? Do you think he's just showing off for the hot ladies driving down the street? Or did I just drink too much Hatorade? At first I felt a slight bit of guilt for acting like a 16 year old girl (slight is the keyword here), but then I thought of how many men see half nekkid women running down the street and they honk or roll down their windows to shout perverted things at them. So the guilt I felt was overruled.
Maybe two wrongs do make a right??
No? Whatever.

Eyebrows
Hi, my name is Gina and I am obsessed with eyebrows. It is said that eyebrows frame your face and are the windows to your soul... That last part is a bit of a stretch, but I definitely agree that they frame your face.
When I'm not doing the eyebrow dance, sometimes I like to put my index fingers over my eyebrows and see what I would look like without my brows; it's really creepy how different you look. Or sometimes, I use my index finger and pull up the skin in between my brows and it makes me look like I'm extremely worried about something. Go ahead, give it a shot then check yourself out in the mirror. Why so seriousssss?
Anyways, I love it when I see a set of well groomed, FULL brows. I mentally high five that person or usually just tell them I love their brows. Not too long ago I asked my sister if she thinks Latisse (the serum to make your eyelashes grow) would work on my brows, that could work right?? No? Whatever. This fall I'm bringin' sexy back and growing some bushy brows while strutting around in my red lipstick with my lady balls in full effect! I'm thinking I want to shape them like my two girl crushes for eyebrows: Jennifer Connelly and Penelope Cruz, I lust for these eyebrows!

siiiiigh....
When are you going to come in my life and sweep me off my feet Josh Hartnett so we can make bushy eye brow babies?
